Allow me to reintroduce myself
We have all heard of the well known motivational phrase, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”, but I would like to tweak it a tad for my friends to "What doesn't does kill you makes you stronger". For my friends who have experienced some things that may not have killed you physically, however it most definitely felt like it killed you emotionally, or may have killed your happiness and tried to kill your finances or several other areas in your life the past year. It’s not very popular to talk about or discuss the downfalls one may have faced and I personally don’t like to glorify them. However, I do feel for healing purposes and moving on facing them is essential. I certainly experienced various forms of pain in 2018 the most prominent was experiencing a loss towards the end of the year. It definitely did not kill me but it almost felt like it did.
Recently my grandpa’s passing was one of those painful experiences, it emphasised that life is but a vapour, that the life we live on earth is nothing in comparison to eternity. It taught me that you can acquire everything you want here but the impact you leave here on earth is what you impress in people’s hearts. A lot of the time we can get consumed in our pain or hurt and sometimes get stuck but if we are able to draw strength to look past these hurts beneath the surface we could potentially find some lessons. Have you ever thought that everything you went through last year could have been on purpose??

Could if be that heaviness wasn’t to kill you but you needed to go through a reconstruction?
Reconstruction is A thing that has been rebuilt after being damaged or destroyed. Which means that certain people had to go, situations needed to change and your perspective needed to shift so you could be propelled into what God has planned for you in 2019.
I named the title of this blog post "allow me to re-introduce myself "because this year we are not going to allow fear, anxiety, depression or failure keep us bound. We are not going to allow the downfalls and sad moments of last year to define our year this year. We are in the art of constructing and building our lives into the large structures we envision them to be.
1 Peter 5:10 - And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
